NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING CONCERNING THE PROPOSED CONTRACT EMPLOYING A SUPERINTENDENT FOR GOSHEN COMMUNITY SCHOOLS
On November 27, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. in the Goshen Community Schools’ Administration Center located at 613 East Purl Street, Goshen, Indiana, the Board of School Trustees will meet to discuss and hear from the public support for and objections to the proposed superintendent’s contract, which will be effective from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2026.
Initially Proposed Contract Details
Annual Base Salary: $164,000; Annual Teacher Retirement Fund Contribution: $-0-; Annual 403(b) Plan Contribution: $14,760; Annual Group Health/Dental Insurance Premium Contribution*: $18,928; Annual Long Term Disability Premium Contribution*: $2,597; Annual Term Life Premium Insurance Contribution ($150,000 Death Benefit)*: $183; Health Savings Account Contribution: $2,400; Annual Auto Allowance: $4,800; Annual Technology Allowance: $1,200.
* Indicates that Goshen Community Schools’ contribution may be adjusted if the insurance carrier increases the premiums for same level of coverage.
Agreement Length: The proposed contract is for a term of three (3) years. The proposed contract can be canceled by the school board for reasons set out in Indiana statute. By mutual agreement, the superintendent and Goshen Community Schools can cancel the proposed contract at any time.
Work Days: The superintendent receives twenty (20) vacation days, five (5) personal leave days and five (5) professional leave days.
