At GCS, we serve more than 6,500 students and are recognized for our ability to bridge school and community. The academic, extracurricular, and cultural diversity of our schools provides students with options and experiences not available elsewhere. With excellent programs such as Expeditionary Learning (EL), International Baccalaureate (IB), High Ability, English Learners (EL), and the Elkhart County Special Education Cooperative (ECSEC),  GCS is able to meet the needs of all students.

In the fall of 2015, at the request of the GCS School Board, the GCS superintendents assembled a group of administrators, teachers, and staff, and began to work on a strategic plan for Goshen Community Schools. The “2025 Plan” (click the link for image of plan) as it has come to be known, has been developed in order to look ahead, determine the vision for Goshen Community Schools, and construct a working plan for how to achieve the stated goals for GCS students and the school corporation as a whole.
