Notre Dame Ph.D. Joins Goshen High School CTE Program

GOSHEN, IN – Goshen Community Schools is proud to announce the hiring of Dr. Matthew Prygoski as an Engineering Teacher at Goshen High School, bringing extensive industry experience and expertise to the district’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) program.
Dr. Prygoski joins GHS after a distinguished engineering career, most recently serving as Director of Engineering at Orthopediatrics in Warsaw, Indiana. Throughout his career, he has led engineering teams, managed high-end projects, contributed to the development of innovative medical technologies, and earned numerous patents.
A graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Dr. Prygoski earned his Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering. He has also taught as an adjunct professor at Purdue Polytechnic South Bend and authored multiple peer-reviewed research publications.
“Career and Technical Education is at its best when students learn from professionals who have real-world experience,” said Superintendent Jim DuBois. “Dr. Prygoski has spent his career solving complex engineering challenges and developing innovative technologies. We are excited for our students to learn from someone with that level of expertise and passion.”
As part of the CTE program, Dr. Prygoski will teach engineering courses that provide students with hands-on learning experiences and exposure to engineering careers. The addition of Dr. Prygoski reflects Goshen Community Schools’ continued commitment to providing students with high-quality career pathways and opportunities to learn from industry professionals.
