Goshen Community Schools Names Lexa Magnuson-Macias Principal of Goshen High School

Goshen, IN – Goshen Community Schools (GCS) is pleased to announce Lexa Magnuson-Macias as the new principal of Goshen High School (GHS), beginning with the 2026-27 School Year. Magnuson-Macias has served as an assistant principal at Goshen High School since 2022, bringing valuable experience and continuity to the role.
Magnuson-Macias holds a Master’s degree in Urban Educational Leadership and a Bachelor’s degree in English Secondary Education. She brings a strong depth of experience in instructional leadership, student support systems, and school-wide improvement.
Her work as Assistant Principal of 10th Grade and Student Services has focused on building aligned systems that support student success and ensure graduates are prepared for employment, enrollment, or service after high school. Throughout her career, she has led efforts to strengthen Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and improve student engagement—resulting in measurable gains in student outcomes and a more supportive school culture.
“Lexa is a thoughtful leader who understands how to build systems that support the whole student,” said Superintendent Jim DuBois. “Her focus on preparing students for life after graduation and her commitment to working with families and the community make her a great fit for Goshen High School.”
Magnuson-Macias shared her enthusiasm for the role and the Goshen community.
“I am honored to serve as principal of Goshen High School,” she said. “I look forward to continuing to partner with our parents and community to support students and create opportunities that prepare every learner for their future. Together, we will build on the strong foundation already in place and continue moving Goshen High School forward.”
