The City of Goshen, known as the Maple City, is located in northern Indiana just east of South Bend. With small town charm and values, Goshen also offers many cultural, educational, industrial and recreational opportunities.
A Community of Diversity
Home to people from all parts of the world, Goshen offers a culturally diverse location to raise children and earn a living. It is home to exceptional parks and recreational facilities, numerous service organizations and clubs, and a variety of churches supporting 33 different religious denominations.
The area is ripe with opportunity, including several colleges and universities located within a 45-minute drive. Goshen College, a small liberal arts school, is well known for its international education program and its number of students from other countries. The college further adds to the community’s diversity and enables community members to take courses. Davenport University and Ivy Tech State College also offer extensive classes in the community, and the University of Notre Dame is located in nearby South Bend.
Local service clubs and nonprofit organizations help Goshen’s citizens give back to the community. Through gifts of time and money, residents continue to improve the city and contribute to a tradition of service. Visit the Goshen Chamber of Commerce website to learn more.

Partnering for Success
The Goshen Chamber of Commerce is very active in our community and supportive of our schools. We are also very proud or our community hospital, IU Health Goshen Hospital, as it offers the surrounding area superior health services.
“The amazing thing about Goshen is that dissimilar groups of people work together to make our small city spectacular. The unsurpassed student achievement, remarkable kindergarten through graduate school programs, strong business base, vibrant downtown, solid neighborhoods, and thriving arts and entertainment scene reflect our community’s uncommon willingness to collaborate.”
