A part time math coach is provided to help math teachers with best practices, data collection and innovative instructional strategies.  The coach can assist with classroom instruction, data analysis and best practices.

If student performance is to be improved, says Phillip Schlechty, there are at least three ways to approach the problem: 1) work on the students, 2) work on the teachers, or 3) work on the work. The key to improving education, Schlechty believes, lies in the third alternative: to provide better quality work for students-work that is engaging and that enables students to learn what they need in order to succeed in the world.

NLC Teacher Meetings

Teachers from the Northern Lakes Conference and other area high schools meet together at least once a year to discuss and examine Indiana testing specifically looking at ISTEP+, GQE and Core 40 exams.  Meetings are conducted in the subject areas of English, Math, Science and Social Studies.
